Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking  Manager, Order to Cash – Process Excellence to join our Order to Cash team. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead complex, cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing the customer experience, improving operational efficiency, and scaling order-to-cash processes across Rivian’s growing business. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, strong project management skills, and a relentless drive to solve problems that affect both customers and operations.

  • Lead Strategic Initiatives: Own and drive high-visibility projects that enhance the order-to-cash process across vehicles, charging, accessories, and service.
  • Enhance Customer Experience: Develop and implement customer-centric solutions to streamline order fulfillment and billing.
  • Optimize Process & Efficiency: Reduce friction in the order-to-cash cycle, automate manual processes, and enable data-informed decisions.
  • Enable Scalability: Design and validate processes that are future-proof, scalable, and aligned with Rivian’s growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Legal, and Finance to ensure alignment and operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex order-to-cash process improvement projects from concept through execution.
  • Identify and resolve pain points and blockers in the order to cash journey to improve customer satisfaction and reduce cycle time.
  • Build and maintain key operational dashboards and metrics to monitor performance and highlight bottlenecks.
  • Define business requirements for new tools and enhancements; support user acceptance testing (UAT) .
  • Design scalable, customer-focused processes and drive alignment across stakeholders.
  • Use Databricks and Hex to enable proactive reporting and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best-in-class order-to-cash practices.
  • Track performance against KPIs and present progress to leadership.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration , or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in accounts receivable, order-to-cash , or related domains.
  • Strong track record leading complex, cross-functional projects that improved customer and operational outcomes.
  • Proficient in data platforms and visualization tools such as Databricks, Hex, SQL, and Excel .
  • Deep understanding of customer experience design and operational process mapping .
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience using ERP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Able to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing best-in-class order-to-cash solutions in high-growth or transformational settings.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma , or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success driving automation and reporting at scale using advanced data tools .

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for Illinois based applicants: $114,100 - $142,600 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
