Job Title: HR & Operations Assistant   

Location: 1612 N 24th St. Omaha, NE 68110  

Job Type: Full-Time  

Position Overview 

The HR & Operations Assistant at the Learning Community will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Human Resources and Operations Director. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn and develop a career in HR and operations. The HR & Operations Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from HR administration to supporting daily operational activities, ensuring the smooth running of office functions and employee support. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Administrative Support: Assist in maintaining employee records, filing HR documents, and ensuring the accuracy of HR databases. 

  • Recruitment Support: Help with job postings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates. 

  • Onboarding: Assist in the preparation of onboarding materials and support the new hire orientation process. 

  • Compliance: Help ensure the organization complies with HR-related laws and regulations by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HR practices. 

Operations: 

  • Office Administration: Assist in maintaining a well-organized office environment by coordinating facility maintenance and supporting daily office activities. 

  • Scheduling & Coordination: Schedule meetings, training sessions, and other office events, ensuring proper setup and coordination. 

  • Document Management: Organize and maintain physical and digital files, ensuring easy retrieval of documents when needed. 

  • Reservations: Coordinating and scheduling events with outside community partners. 

  • Assisting Parent University (PU) with covering the front desk. 

  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications: 

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred. 

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in an administrative, HR, or office support role. 

Skills: 

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general office software. 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. 

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. 

  • Experience with HR software (e.g., HRIS, ATS) is a plus. 

  • Basic understanding of HR principles and office management. 

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced office environment.
