A rapidly growing, health-driven prepared meal company is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to join its culinary leadership team. This innovative concept is redefining large-scale meal prep with a focus on whole, organic, and nutrient-dense ingredients—crafted without seed oils, refined sugars, or processed components. All recipes and sauces are made from scratch, and meals are packaged sustainably in microplastic-free containers.
About the Role:
The Executive Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to lead day-to-day operations, scale production, and contribute to menu development. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of healthy food at scale within a fast-paced, mission-driven startup.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coach a BOH team of 15+ cooks and builders
Help scale kitchen operations to support rapid growth
Support menu R&D and refine production processes
Improve efficiency and quality across cooking operations
Participate in production and ensure highest culinary standards
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of kitchen experience; high-volume production preferred
Strong leadership and coaching skills
Excellent palate and ability to scale recipes without sacrificing quality
Startup mindset: flexible, adaptable, and hands-on
Solid knowledge of food safety standards
Comfortable using digital tools for documentation and inventory
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
