Responsibilities:

• As a Cybersecurity Engineer, my role includes supporting a large Cloud Services government contract in McLean, VA. Your responsibilities will involve:
• Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring security applications including:
• - Endpoint security
• - Scanning
• - SIEM
• - Insider Threat Monitoring
• Collaborating with vendors to maintain security updates, licenses, and resolve support issues.
• Supporting the Cybersecurity lead with the Continuous Monitoring program focusing on vulnerability management, auditing, and security alert triage.
• Ensuring telemetry from security applications is forwarded to our SIEM, configuring alerts for privileged activities, and triaging all alerts to ensure authorized activity.
• Performing scanning duties including ensuring inventory accuracy and reviewing scan data to support patching.
• Administering the insider threat monitoring application.
• Designing and evaluating information system security throughout the systems development life cycle.
