This position is full time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
We offer 2 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.

**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Perform research on various computer systems and document customer information regarding current status, payment expectations, notes of conversations and other relevant information
+ Use mail, email and phones to contact customers to discuss, negotiate payment and resolve outstanding medical bill accounts and balances
+ Obtain agreement on potential balance payoff and/or payment terms within stated level of authority and guideline limits
+ Prepare and submits reports to internal management on status of outstanding medical bills and proposed/planned payment settlement details

**Required Qualifications**
+ High school education or equivalent experience.
+ 18 years or older
+ Computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Windows and navigation, mouse and keyboarding skills
+ Abilit to any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
**Preferred Qualification:**
+ 1+ year of experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools
**Telecommuting Requirements:**
+ Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
+ Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
+ Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
