Certified Sales Arborist

Location: Butler, Wisconsin
Salary: $22-$30 an Hour

Dorshak Tree Specialists has a career opportunity in the field of Urban Forestry as a Sales Arborist Consultant. We are looking to add the right professional to our team today! The right professional will be highly customer service driven and a team player. This position requires industry knowledge, attention to detail, adaptability, self-motivation, and organizational aptitude. The employee will have a positive attitude and a professional approach when interacting with customers and with colleagues in our marketing, customer service, sales and operations departments. We are seeking the following qualified candidate:

• Certified Arborist with preferably 2-4 years of sales experience in arboricultural services
• Preferred: Two or Four-year degree in a green industry
• ISA Certification (or in progress)
• Regional plant and horticulture knowledge: Tree Identification Pest identification and control, Pruning principles and techniques, Diagnostic and recommendation skills
• Excellent sales and communication skills
• Good people skills; self-motivated; computer proficient and organized, and the ability to identify, prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner. The individual needs to have computer skills including working knowledge of Micro-Soft Office products. Training will be provided for specific work-related programs. The employee must be able to work well with others.

DUTIES

• Principal contact with customers; responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
• Responds to customer requests and personally arranges meeting to review properties.
• Thorough knowledge of proper pruning and removal technicians as outlined in ANSI A300 and Z133 standards, tree identification, insect and disease diagnosis and treatment, and maintains current knowledge of scientific advancements in arboriculture.
• Researches and resolves customer disputes or complaints or properly directs customer to correct management team member to ensure satisfaction and retention. Maintains strong customer service skills and able to handle difficult situations with diplomacy.
• Communicates benefits of different services and applications upon request.
• Promptly provides clearly written/typed proposals outlining scope of work determined though meetings or communication with client.
• Properly communicate job specifics, scheduling requests, permitting requirements, etc.
• Communicates with Department Managers, Safety Coordinator and/or Foreman where/when necessary.
• Provides professional consultation services including visual inspections, diagnostic techniques, written reports and litigation where necessary.
• Tracks and understands sales goals.
• Attends and participates in all company meetings.
• Safeguards employees, customers and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
• Maintains a positive attitude with internal and external customers.

• May be exposed to dust, grease, odors, mechanical and electrical hazards, and all types of weather and temperature conditions.
